Prof. related dr hab. Andrzej Kowalski has been a lecturer at the Central School of Planning and Statistics / Warsaw School of Economics since 1974, where he was the head of the Department of Agribusiness for many years, as well as vice-director of the Institute of National Economy Functioning. He was the director of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics of the National Research Institute (2000-2019) and was the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (2004-2006). He is the author of over 400 scientific and popular science works in the field of agricultural policy, market analyzes, etc., published in Poland and abroad. Supervisor of many master’s, postgraduate and doctoral theses. Author of several dozen expert opinions prepared for the Parliament, Local Government Organizations and Industry Unions. He has appeared as an expert three times at the meetings of the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee.
