Krzysztof Sitarski, President of the Polish Hydrogen Association

An engineer of underground mining of deposits by education, he graduated in 2002 from the Faculty of Mining and Geology of the Silesian University of Technology. MBA graduate of Collegium Humanum-SGM. He started work as a miner, a mining supervisor, then he was employed as a traffic dispatcher at the “Chwałowice” Coal Mine in Rybnik. He also ran his own business in the transport industry. In the parliamentary elections in 2015, he ran for the Sejm and obtained the seat of deputy of the 8th term. In the Seym he was, inter alia, vice-chairman of the Committee for Energy and State Treasury and vice-chairman of the Committee for State Control. In 2015–2017, he represented the Polish parliament in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. In 2018, he appointed the “Polska Wodorowa” Parliamentary Group, whose meetings were held: in Warsaw with the participation of the Ministers of Energy and the State Treasury, in Katowice as an accompanying event of COP 24, at the seat of the Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU in Brussels. Author of amendments introducing hydrogen as an alternative fuel in the act on electromobility. From 2019, President of the Board of the Polish Hydrogen Association – involved in initiatives promoting hydrogen as an alternative fuel and the development of the hydrogen industry in Poland. From 2020, the representative for the development of the Węglokoks S.A. Capital Group and answers for hydrogen projects. The author of the project “Hydrogen Silesia Power”, presented as one of the essential elements of the energy transformation of Silesia at the International Conference on hydrogen projects of the Visegrad Group countries.
