Joydeep Roy, Chief Consular Officer of the Honorary Consulate of Poland in Kolkata
Joydeep Roy is the Chief Consular Officer of the Honorary Consulate of Poland in Kolkata, India since 2006. His primary focus of work is to promote, develop and strengthen the relationship between Poland and West Bengal (India). Through the Honorary Consulate, he organizes, coordinates and supports all Polish Business Missions, Ministerial Delegations, visits by Ambassadors of Poland to India & other Officials from the Polish Embassy, New Delhi.
He played a crucial role towards the success of three high-powered Polish Business Delegations that attended the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in 2017, 2018 & 2019 – all of which were held in Kolkata. He was also instrumental in organizing a successful visit of a Polish Delegation to the Bengal Business Conclave.
Having widely traveled to Poland, he participated as a “ Member” of high-powered Delegation from West Bengal during the European Economic Congress (EEC) 2017 and thereafter as a “ Speaker” at EEC 2018. Among others, he was also involved in assisting and supporting the visit of Mr. Donald Tusk, the then Prime Minister of Poland in September 2010 to Bangalore, India.
Joydeep runs his own Consulting outfit: J R Advisory Services – which focuses on Public Relations, Corporate Advisory and Business Consulting. He is also the Secretary General of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Kolkata, which is part of a global peer-to-peer body of entrepreneurs (EO) with 200 Chapters in 60 countries. Joydeep holds a MA in Public Administration, a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, Diploma in Industrial Psychology and a National Certificate in Supervision.
Joydeep is the Founder of Malt Connoisseurs Club, which is a private initiative for giving Single Malt lovers of Kolkata. As a self-made man, he loves to share the learning experiences of his life and lectures selectively on “Motivation” & “Public Relations”. He is a well-known face in the corporate / professional circles of Kolkata.
