Jakub Wawrzyniak, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Cologne

Jakub Wawrzyniak (born 1980) is a graduate of the University of Cologne, MA in media studies, philosophy and linguistics. Member of the Foreign Service, since 2000 professionally associated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the years 2007-2015, the vice-consul for public and cultural diplomacy at the Headquarters of the Republic of Poland in Cologne. In the years 2015-2018 he was at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: the position of the director of the Press Spokesperson’s Office and the deputy director of the Consular Department supervising the Operational Center and the Consular Information Center.
