Dr Tomasz Nowicki – moderator

Tomasz Nowicki defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of earth sciences at the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw in 2003, where he worked initially as an assistant and then until 2005 as an assistant professor. In the following years, he worked at the Polish Geological Institute and then in consulting companies, where he managed projects in the field of environmental engineering, in particular waste management. Since March 2016, Dr. Nowicki has been employed at ENERIS, initially as a project manager where he was involved in the acquisition and management of the Group’s investment projects, and then from 2017 as the Innovation Director responsible for the development of innovative projects. From July 2018, he is also the Director of the Central Environmental Protection Department of the ENERIS Group, where he is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the functioning of the Group’s companies in the field of environmental protection, including in particular compliance with legal requirements.

He also acted as the Plenipotentiary for the Integrated Management System in accordance with ISO 14 001 and 9 001 and currently also an internal auditor of this system.
