Dr hab. Krzysztof Stereńczak, professor at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences

He deals with the broadly understood application of geomatics in the management and monitoring of the forest environment. He managed and participated in several dozen scientific and implementation projects financed from international and Polish sources. The most important coordinated projects include the LIFE + ForBioSensing project “Comprehensive monitoring of stand dynamics in Białowieża, Forest supported with remote sensing techniques LIFE13 ENV / PL / 000048” and REMBIOFOR – “Remote sensing determination of wood biomass and carbon resources in forests”. He is the author of many methodological studies applying spatial data in forest practice. He is the author and co-author of over 100 scientific papers. He is the tutor of 7 PhD students.
