Dariusz Pachniewski, Hydrogen expert, Hydrogen Poland spokesman, HYFINDER Organization Ambassador, HYNFRA Business Development Director

Dariusz Pachniewski is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, Radom University of Technology together with the Central Petroleum Laboratory in Warsaw. Completed fields of study in the field of: management, processing of petroleum products and the production and exploitation of alternative fuels. Co-author of the patent for hydrocarbon fuel, for which he received the Honorable Mention of the National Academy of Sciences and the title of “Quality of the Year”. He developed a strategy for implementing this solution in the national economy on a large scale. The company he managed as the President of the Management Board was included in the list of 500 most innovative companies in Poland in the first edition of this event. For over 29 years, it has been constantly developing in the field of energy innovation. In 2018, he participated in the work of the “Wodorowa Polska” parliamentary committee. He participated in the work of the committees in the country as well as in the external deliberations in Brussels as an independent expert. He has competences that allow him to actively participate in innovative projects related to the broadly understood domestic energy. He actively participates in industry conferences as an expert with an advisory voice. At the “COP 24 Climate Summit”, “European Economic Congress”, “EuroPower” and “POWERPOL” he represented an independent position of an energy specialist in the use of alternative fuels. He participates in the meetings of the District Heating Forum in Międzyzdroje, where on September 13, 2021 he presented the prospect of decarbonising the sector district heating based on hydrogen. He conducted lectures as a speaker at the “Green Energy Congres” in Krakow, “Hydrogen as the fuel of the future”, 23 September 2021. He cooperates with companies that are at the stage of organizing the production of second-generation biofuels, compliant with the RED II Directive, thanks to which we will reduce the carbon footprint in transport and energy. On this subject, he publishes his opinions and prospects for the development of the energy-consuming industry, among others in the monthly “Energy of heat and professionals”. He advises projects related to the construction of energy storage, hybrid boiler rooms, production of recycled fuels, renewable energy, hydrogen-based cogeneration and trigeneration. In 2018, at the gala of the “Wprost” magazine, he received the “Gen Innowacyjność” award for his work in the field of water activation for technological applications in the energy sector. In 2020, he participated in the work as an Advisor to the Management Board on hydrogen technologies of Cyfrowy Polsat and ZE PAK on the first 5 MW electrolyser in Poland connected to a 50 MW biomass unit and the project of 2 hydrogen refueling stations in Konin and Warsaw along with the entire hydrogen value chain. Since March 2021, he has been the Spokesperson of Hydrogen Poland – the voice of Polski Wodór. He actively participates in building hydrogen Poland by working in groups of organizations promoting the use of H2 in the national economy. He participates in the works on the hydrogen strategy in the works of task groups I, II, IV and VII operating at the Ministry of Climate and Environment. In May 2021, he was appointed the “Hydrogen Ambassador of the Academy of Young Mechanics”. It is an idea addressed to young people and people associated with the Automotive industry to educate young people in the profession of the future, which will be “electro-mobile mechanic of vehicles powered by alternative fuels, including hydrogen. He was awarded by the EU organization “Hyfinder” and announced the Ambassador of Hydrogen in the territory of the Republic of Poland. It is an organization that promotes new solutions in the field of hydrogen technologies in the EU. He actively participates in initiatives promoting the foundations of the hydrogen economy, such as the creation and development of energy clusters and the construction and establishment of the first Hydrogen Valleys, reporting these events on an ongoing basis in his social media related to hydrogen technologies. On October 13, he will conduct a hydrogen debate at the “Enwicon” gala in Poznań during the “Poleko” fair, the use of hydrogen in a circular economy.
