Damian Różycki, Development Director at Columbus Energy S.A., President of the Management Board of EFFI Research Sp. Z o.o.  

Manager with interdisciplinary experience in the energy industry as well as an expert and passionate in the field of new technologies. For 10 years, he has been directly associated with undertakings and projects in overcoming contemporary business challenges and implementing organizational and technological changes in many business areas on the scale of several companies, a company’s branch, business area or a single process. He has experience in cooperation with business entities from over 15 countries around the world (technology and service providers, scientific entities, associations, startups) under bilateral agreements and industrial and scientific consortia. He used his experience while initiating and conducting research and development projects carried out on a European and national scale. A special group of knowledge is created by the so-called new energy sector, such as intelligent industrial and metering networks based on IoT technology, active management of energy demand and consumption (DSM and DSR), smart home & smart industry, energy production from various renewable energy sources, hydrogen technologies and broadly understood energy storage. From August 2020, fulfilling his professional mission as the Development Director at Columbus Energy S.A. and as the President of the Management Board of a private research and development center in the field of modern energy (EFFI Research Sp.z o.o.). Previously, the area director responsible for the assets of the transmission network in Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A., as well as Project Manager of research and development projects or a specialist in TAURON Polska Energia S.A., TAURON Dystrybucja S.A. and Vattenfall Distribution Poland S.A. A graduate of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and post-graduate pre-MBA studies at the School of Banking in Dąbrowa Górnicza in the field of business management. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience, presenting his views to a larger group of listeners (top management, specialists, scientists) and inspiring others to make bold decisions and actions. Passionate about traveling, survival and an observer of macro economics and global markets.
