The Silesian Aviation Cluster is one of the key partners of the European Future Forum. We pay special attention to the accompanying event planned in the agenda, which will be the Conference of the Silesian Aviation Cluster. This conference will be held on the third day of the Forum.

Meanwhile, we are also pleased to inform you that the invitation to the Program Council of our event was accepted by Mr. Krzysztof Krystowski – President of the Silesian Aviation Cluster. Soon we will present all the issues that will be discussed during the conference sessions. One of the most important will be the future of the drone industry.

– Despite the fact that the drone sector is the sector of the future, companies that are pioneers in this industry in Poland unfortunately have a problem to stay on the market. There are still too few applications for drone technology. We should adopt a common front and tighten international cooperation in the European context – said Krzysztof Krystowski, President of the Silesian Aviation Cluster in 2020.

We do not stop sharing good information. The honorary patronage over our event was taken by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sports.

This is the second, after the Ministry of Climate and Environment, ministry that appreciates the importance and prestige of the European Future Forum. It could not be otherwise, after all, Silesia. Positive energy means attachment to a rich and centuries-old culture, unique historical heritage, as well as the arena of many sports successes.

We are in a hurry to inform you that the European Future Forum is under the patronage of the European Parliament. It is a great honor, but above all, it underlines the importance and European dimension of our event.

Before us is a decade of extremely dynamic changes that will affect almost every sphere of our lives. Our ambition is to create a platform for regular, cyclical dialogue with the participation of outstanding personalities from the world of politics, economy and science on topics of significant importance for Europe, Poland and, of course, the Silesian Voivodeship.

Current experiences, a global pandemic, economic downturn or large-scale remote work have led to the need to draw conclusions and prepare for the coming future. The current situation is an excellent opportunity to revise views and look at the most important aspects of the functioning of European economies, also in the community dimension.

The European Future Forum is an event under the patronage of the European Parliament. It will be held from 6 to 8 October 2021 at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. Be there with us.

It is an undoubted honor for us, because Jadwiga Wiśniewska, Member of the European Parliament, confirmed her participation in the EFF. The deputy is a member of the Honorary Committee of the event, and also a speaker at the plenary session on the future of Europe.

The deputy shared with us her own view on the importance and legitimacy of the organization of the European Future Forum.

• European, because it will be held in the Silesian Voivodeship, winner of the prestigious title of the European Entrepreneurship Region 2021-2022.
• The forum will be an excellent opportunity to exchange views and experiences between representatives of the world of science, business and politics.
• The future, because taking responsibility for what is here and now, we influence the directions of Europe’s development in the coming decades.

It is hard to find a better place for discussion. The Silesian Voivodeship is united in diversity, just as the European Union is united in diversity. This is where the heart of the Polish industry beats. It is here that the centuries-old tradition and industrial heritage of Europe meet with innovation, green technologies and digitization.

At the same time, Silesia is a region facing a great challenge, which is the energy transformation resulting from the European climate policy. Searching for an answer to the question of how to make this transformation fair and as least burdensome as possible for the inhabitants is crucial not only for the future of Silesia and Poland, but for the whole of Europe.

The European Union is facing numerous challenges today and its development in the coming decades will depend on whether and how we respond to them. The COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to its health effects, has indicated areas where EU policy should be redefined.

I trust that the European Future Forum will be an opportunity to discuss the most important topics and that together we will find the answer to this fundamental question about what the Europe of the future should be. Undoubtedly, it will be a decade of digital Europe, an environmentally friendly Europe, but at the same time a Europe that must not forget about the social dimension of its policies.

We need a comprehensive view that will focus on the sustainable development of all European Union countries and which will take into account the existing disproportions between regions, enabling them to make a just transition.

The European Union is a strong strength of the Member States. The future of the EU is based on economically strong member states that retain their cultural and national identity.

In an interview published on July 9, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship emphasized the role of the European Future Forum as a key element in designing the future of the Silesian region.

The future, not only in the regional and national perspective, but also in the context of a common Europe, is the main topic of the European Future Forum planned for October, which will take place at the Silesian Stadium. How did you come to that?

Out of the need for discussion, the will to learn from each other and out of concern for our common future, precisely. After recent experiences, I think this word is now being changed by all cases all over Europe. We don’t stop and boldly think about tomorrow as we prepare for the difficult transformation process. We are facing challenges that will define our place in the changing global reality. The decision to close the mining industry means that we are faced with the need to redefine the region’s economy.

We want Silesia to be one of the leaders of these changes, but we do not have a monopoly on knowledge, so we use the experience of European regions that already have this process behind them. The European Future Forum will be a space for substantive discussion among experts, representatives of the world of business and science. We want to listen to the voice of young people who will build the region in the future, and give them a chance to implement innovative ideas. I invite everyone to participate in this event, which will take place in the hybrid formula on October 6-8, 2021 in the conference spaces of the Silesian Stadium.

We have another great news for you. Mr. Władysław Ortyl – Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship has confirmed his participation in the European Future Forum.

Various Formats of European Cooperation is an important session on the first day of the Forum. In it, among others Carpathian Strategy – a platform for interstate cooperation for the development of the entire Carpathian Region. The Carpathian Strategy will enable closer cooperation between the countries of the region in various areas and on many levels: geographic, ethnological, culinary, natural, historical and tourist.

The Carpathian Strategy has a chance to become the fifth macro-regional strategy of the EU and the second mountain strategy (after the Alpine strategy). Such strategies are an important element of European territorial cooperation throughout the European Union.

We are in a hurry with extremely important information. The patronage over the European Future Forum by the Ministry of Climate and Environment and Minister Michał Kurtyka is part of, inter alia, in the priority # ZieloneSląskie2030 and the entire development strategy of the Silesian Voivodeship.

One of the most important panels of the Forum is the plenary session: Region – a creative and inhabitants-friendly space that will open the third day of the European Future Forum.

How important is the role of local government and how much work has been put in our region to support entrepreneurs during the pandemic is confirmed by the title of the European Region of Entrepreneurship awarded this year, which was awarded to the Silesian Voivodeship.

European Future Forum will set the directions for further positive changes. On the first day of the Forum, a thematic panel will be organized. European Entrepreneurial Region – the role of regional authorities in stimulating entrepreneurship.

There will be numerous discussions on European economies, energy transformation, new digital technologies and electromobility. The exchange of experiences and cooperation are of great importance, therefore representatives of cities and regions were invited to participate in the Forum, which, like the Silesian Voivodeship, were awarded this honorable title.
